Getting Started
How do I set up OneTap Access?
Setting up is simple: 1) Purchase or receive a OneTap device, 2) Scan the QR code on the device with your phone, 3) Connect it to your WiFi or use built-in LTE, 4) Start creating access links. The whole process takes about 5 minutes.
Do my guests need to download an app?
No! Guests simply open the link you share with them in any web browser. No app download, no signup required. They tap a button and the door opens.
What devices are compatible?
OneTap works with most electronic locks, intercoms, gates, and parking barriers. Our device connects to the existing system's relay or button input. If you're unsure about compatibility, contact us for a free assessment.
Security
Is OneTap Access secure?
Yes. We use end-to-end encryption, secure token-based authentication, and all communications are over TLS. Access links can be protected with PINs, time limits, and usage limits. You can revoke any link instantly.
What happens if someone shares my access link?
You can add PIN protection to prevent unauthorized sharing. You can also set links to single-use, so they expire after first use. We recommend using time-limited links with PINs for anyone you don't fully trust.
Can I see who used my access links?
Yes. Every access event is logged with timestamp, IP address, and device information. You can view all access history in your dashboard and receive real-time notifications.

Technical
What if my internet goes down?
OneTap devices have offline fallback capabilities. They can store recent access permissions and continue working during brief outages. When connection returns, everything syncs automatically.
Does it work with my existing intercom?
Most likely yes. OneTap connects to the button/relay output of existing intercoms. We support analog intercoms, IP intercoms, and standalone electronic locks. Contact us if you're unsure.
Is there an API?
Yes! Our Building plan includes full API access for custom integrations. You can programmatically create passes, manage devices, and receive webhooks for access events.
